Polaris Refresh leaks, SAPPHIRE Radeon RX 590 8GB NITRO+

AMD will be launching their 12nm refreshed cards soon and the latest card to sneakily appear on the internet is the Sapphire Radeon RX 590 8GB NITRO+. AMD don’t seem to be too working too hard to keep these leaks from happening, any PR is good PR right?

So what do we know about the 590, well it is a refined 580, which was a tweaked 480, so the question is why is it called 590 and not 680!? I personally feel calling it a 680 would have been a stretch too far for given this is a tweak of a tweaked card, so 590 feels right.

We are expecting this 590 to have a frequency bump over the Radeon RX 580 while retaining the same number of stream processors (2304) and compute units (36).

Could the 590 be the leader of the value cards?
