Radeon RX 590 clocks leak out, as high as 1680 MHz

As we talked about in our earlier post (here) the RX 590 is coming soon and leaks are dropping thick and fast.

The latest leak about the 12nm Polaris 30 GPU is coming from a 3DMark Firestrike Extreme Score posted on twitter, the score is 7350, which to put into context does push the card a decent way ahead of the GTX 1060 6GB reference model.

  • PowerColor Radeon RX 590: 1,576 MHz (Default), 1,645 MHz (OC)
  • XFX Radeon RX 590: 1,580 MHz (Default), 1,680 MHz (OC)

The question is, are these OC core clocks retail or manually overclocked. Either way, with decent pricing, they could become very popular cards.

To recap on specs, the AMD Polaris 30 GPU should have 2304 Stream processors, 144 TMUs and 32 ROPs. The VRAM will be the same 8 GB GDDR5 design, clocked at 8000 MHz through a 256-bit bus.
