Netgear Launches two new Nighthawk routers, AX8 and AX12

Wow, looks like Netgear have been enjoying Star Wars recently, with a router design that looks like Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle!

The AX8 and AX12 use a quad core processor to offer super fast wifi using multiple antennae in the command shuttle’s wings.

The 8 and 12 in the name relate to the number of WiFi streams each router is capable of and they both work to the new AX6000 WiFi standard.

The AX8 and AX12 support Link Aggregation on two of their gigabit ports and the spec list shows both having a 1G/2.5G/5G LAN port as well.

Pricing in the UK isn’t confirmed yet, however the AX8 is currently listing as $399 on US Amazon.
